Army says that it’s building a new HQ in East Pines in order to meet demands from the local community.
The new HQ will replace the one currently in the area, which has a population of about 500 people.
“This is about moving forward as a local government and as an Army.
It’s about moving to a place where we can do more,” said Army Chief Warrant Officer Mark Jagger in a press release.
“As a community we have been wanting to see a modern, modern military facility here in East Pine.”
The new building will replace an old one which has been occupied by the Army since the 1950s.
The news of the new building comes after the Army announced in May that it would be moving to an all-new HQ in the village of East Point.
The announcement came after it was revealed that the Army was planning to move to an entirely new HQ, with a new, larger building to house the Special Forces and other military operations.
That announcement was made on September 19, 2017.
