Army officials said they had begun manufacturing the DTS tent for the infantry and special forces units in the wake of the DDoS attack that struck the Indian Air Force on Wednesday.
The army’s DTC-85, also known as the DTCA-85 and DTCG-85 tents, were designed to fit a soldier in the field and are intended to allow for better protection during the operation and in the future, they said in a statement.
The DTS tents are made of plastic and have a metal body that is designed to withstand the force of the impact, they added.
The tent is made of polycarbonate with a polyester lining.
The military’s new tent is expected to cost about $10,000.
